Bangkok's Ghostly Skyline

(Link if the player doesn't work)
See this amazing wsj.com video about "ghost towers" in Bangkok, abandoned unfinished after Thailand's economy collapsed in 1997. An example for parts of the U.S.?

Please correct the misspelling!

Bangkok

I was there in 1997 and have lived on and off in Thailand since.

Some of the abandoned projects were resuscitated, others not, still rusting away.

There were also countless subdivisions up and down the country that were never built out.

As for the USA, there will eventually be some action, vide RTC, and the mess will be cleaned up at taxpayers' expense and soon forgotten about by the spending majority.

Oops, correction made. Thanks for the comments.

what's the deal with that partly completed highrise building in Venice/Marina Del Ray, on the south side of Washington just east of Pacific? It seems like it has been a shell for years. Maybe i just ride my bike by it on weekends or after hours, but i have never seen such slow progress on a construction site!
