Weekly inventory update

8/15 - All are slightly down for the week, in part from what seems like a lot of newly-expired and withdrawn listings.

2901 Kansas is back (the former listing expired), now discounted from $649K to $499K.
2114 Ashland was reduced again, now to $1,079K, 20% off.

8/8 - My apologies, so much to do, so little time to post, and it will continue for the next week or two.

Santa Monica inventory is back up, but Pacific Palisades is down. Mar Vista continues up, now at a record 103 for 2007-8.

Low-end north of Montana data point 517 Euclid finally closed for $2,079K. This is a loss from its 6/7/07 purchase for $2,250K, and overall a flat indicator for my index.

And 1621 Ashland is back on the market, fallen out of escrow.

Why is there such a pro-homeless, anti-neighborhood attitude in Santa Monica? More time needs to be spent trying to get rid of these types of hippies. They wish for failure and squalor in the city of Santa Monica. What is it about this sort of phsychology that seems to take root in our city?

2901 Kansas Ave.

Finally the crash begins. A SFR for under $500,000 in Santa Monica. 90402 is next!

I'm going to declare the homeless issue beaten to death here. Please no more comments on it.

I agree...get off the blog if you don't like Santa Monica.......isn't that why we are here? To discuss real estate?????

Crash? It could happen right in the backyard (the 10 freeway) of 2901 Kansas. Better bring earplugs to the showing. Don't be afraid if you feel mini-quakes during the showing; its just passing 18 wheelers.

Um...is that Kansas listing really IN Santa Monica? Isn't the 10 fwy a federal jurisdiction? Didn't know a house could be that close to a freeway legally....

If this is as close to a bubble burst in Santa Monica....god help us. We are in for a long wait.

That thing shouldn't qualify as a dwelling unit.
