Brentwood

What is this sign saying? "We're Brentwood. (Even if the Post Office calls us Los Angeles 90049.) We're special. We have granite signs to match our granite countertops."

Anyone else notice this "gem" - 4275 MOORE ST , LA, 90066 - List price dropped from 1,099,000 to 995,000. OVER 100k. Not a bad size house 1982 sqft but the lot is a WHOPPING 4400 sqft. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. That is not a yard...that's a border at best. This house is hard to support the whole "you're really buying the land" argument. I think the decline will be a 5-7 year process ... but decreases like this are a good first step

Funny that you posted on this. I drove by this sign the other day and thought it was funny that they put this in. The faded blue street sign that says Brentwood is still there too...

Westsider-

on 4275 Moore...purchased a little under 2 years ago for $962.5K

I am seeing a first mortgage for $700K and a second for $175K...so a little under 100K downpayment?

I am too lazy to look up property tax info to see if they are behind or not...Nothing looks fishy for now, however it appears they are trying to break even after commishion right now... keep an eye on this and see what happens.

Santa Monica is also very special. They allow only doggies registered in Santa Monica to walk the new doggy park at the Santa Monica Airport. Santa Monica doggies are better than doggies from any other city!!!

Yea that dog thing is outrageous...I read some non residents are getting (or trying to get) permits to allow their dogs in the new park. Only in LA...
